Protective Gear is What We Do, and We've Been Doing This Longer Than Anyone
In 2005, we pioneered the idea of a specialty store focused strictly on protective gear. We have learned A LOT about action sports protective gear and how to serve customers better than anyone else in the market. Don't be fooled by competitors who may look like us and try to win your business by selling items for a few dollars cheaper. We know that offering the best gear and serving customers well takes a lot of hard work and fulfillment expertise. Our 50,000+ customers know - XSportsProtective serves you better than anyone else in the market.

We're Real People and We Love Customers
We may not be professional athletes. We don't get paid to do these sports. But, we like doing them and we enjoy the fun of it. And, we love sharing the fun with our kids, too. We savor the freedom we feel when we’re out there on a mountain bike negotiating single track, skiing through a tight glade, or trying new moves in the terrain park or the skate park.

We Guarantee It
When you shop at XSports, you’ll receive exactly what you ordered, you’ll receive it on time, and you’ll be billed correctly for your purchase in a secure environment. If for any reason you are not totally satisfied, please contact us so we can make it right. We want to make sure that everything we do for you here at XSportsProtective meets your expectations. This is our commitment to you.

Thank You
Thank you for visiting XSportsProtective. We appreciate you stopping by. If you’re already a customer, thank you. We appreciate your business. If you haven’t ordered from us yet, try us out today.

Sincerely,

What is the best part of your job at XSP?
There’s no one else to answer to, except all of us here at XSP. We own it. That, and I have the freedom to be there for my kids.

Coolest thing you’ve ever seen or done?

Since getting married in 1990 I have lived in 7 states: Florida/North Carolina/Georgia/Arizona/California/Illinois/Pennsylvania. Thru the patience of Jim teaching me via phone/webcam in the first few months - I have taken my “career” in a totally different direction! By far the best part of my job at XSP is being able to work from home and be available for my girls!

What did you do before finding XSP?
I am a graduate of Johnson & Wales University with an A.S. in Travel/Tourism Management & a B.S. in Hospitality Management. Among many other positions since 14 years of age, I have been a Pizza Maker/Flight Attendant/Banquet Manager/Wedding Planner/Substitute Teacher/Childcare Manager/Assistant Manager of a Gym/Mommy. So of course, the next step in such degrees would be working for an online retailer of protective gear!

    Susan

    Position at XSP: Content Writer

    Gear I want/love:
Louis Garneau bike helmets; XProTex protective batting gloves.

    Favorite animal? Least Favorite Animal?
Favorite: Dogs. Least favorite: Also dogs.

How did you come to work at XSP?
It sounds old-fashioned, but I answered an ad. No recruiters, headhunters, or job search sites were involved. It’s amazing things like that still happen.

What's the best part about your job or working at XSP?
Trying on all the cool protective gear to see how it feels and fits. Writing about it is fun too. I also like the laid-back atmosphere—I can come in and do my job and spend the day hanging out with good people. What’s not to like?

    Favorite sports?
    Baseball and cycling.

What are your favorite companies/ brands?
I’m more of an indie, function-over-form kind of girl. I’m not big on brands.

Favorite food or type of food? Favorite beverage?
Any cuisine that originates in Asia. I especially love Pad Thai and Saag Paneer. I drink water most of the time but I’m also partial to beer and a good red wine—the bigger, the better. I feel compelled to note that I am XSports Protective’s lone vegetarian. Somebody I’ll convert them all.

    What is important to you?
My family and friends; social justice; finding fulfillment and meaning to my existence. (What, was I supposed to give a funny answer to that one?)

Other interests or hobbies outside of XSP?
Writing fiction, blogging about the Cleveland Indians, organic gardening, cycling, and baseball.

If you could be any animal what would you be?
A squirrel. I like their ability to make death-defying leaps from branch to branch and how they run across telephone wires with nary a glance downward.

    Most important things in life?
    Didn’t I just answer that?
