Dainese’s mission is to provide active people with protection from head to toe. The company began in 1972 when founder and president Lino Dainese began designing leather pants for motocross riders. His goal was to blend movement, speed, freedom, and safety. The company begins its designs by looking at human motion and then develops products that improve ergonomics and protection. Dainese takes inspiration from nature, such as an armadillo shell, and Medieval and Renaissance suits of armor and prides itself on taking history's and nature’s most brilliant hunches and making them available to the widest possible number of users. Dainese has expanded its product offerings considerably in the last 40 years and now offers protective gear for motocross, mountain biking, skiing, water sports, jet skiing, and kite surfing.
