The Giro Cipher helmet is certain to excite fans of the best-selling Giro Remedy it replaces. Loaded with extras, a fiberglass shell houses an integrated POV camera mount and two built-in speaker pockets. Giro has also introduced large vents at the brow line to meet the difficult challenge facing all full faced helmets: good ventilation. Add twelve sleek-looking vents covered with black screens, and a vent at the neck roll, and the Giro Cipher keeps air moving and you comfortable.
Riders want safety, but also want comfort. You want to ride on a hot day without getting hot. The Giro Cipher full face helmet has met this challenge by adding large apertures above the brow line. Where most helmets have fabric covering the EPS foam liner, the Cipher has 'ports' that channel air through the helmet to vents on top. Improved ventilation? We answer with a resounding "yes".
Who doesn't want to film their mtb or bmx adventures? Giro has made it as simple as inserting your POV camera into a mount above the brow line of the Cipher helmet. Barely noticeable, the integrated mount is compatible with GoPro cameras. Popular with skiers and boarders, Giro is introducing its audio speaker pockets to bikers via the Cipher. Attached to the removable chin pads, cushioned ear pads fold down to easily accommodate Giro TuneUps audio drops.
The Giro Cipher cheek pads detach from their fastening tapes by pulling down on can't-miss red tabs located at the bottom of the pads. Marked clearly with 'pull here to remove', an emergency responder will know how to lift off your helmet without inflicting further injury. It's one of those features you're glad you have when you need it. The pad itself is an upgraded, 'beefier' cushion than the popular Remedy offered. Who knew so much detail could go into a chin pad?
The breadth of range in the Giro helmet lineup really speaks to the commitment Giro has made to outfit each and every cyclist with a level of head protection unsurpassed by any other manufacturer in the business today. With 25 different models in the Giro bike helmet lineup, you are practically guaranteed to find a Giro helmet that will fit you perfectly, no matter if you're a road rider, a mountain biker, a cyclocrosser, a BMX’er, a trackie, a triathlete, or a driveway enthusiast.
