Giro Discord Helmet for Ski/Snowboard

Are you an aggressive freestyle and/or back-country skier or snowboarder? If so, you know that multiple low-impacts to your head are inevitable. Giro constructed the Discord Helmet for Ski/Snowboard with you in mind. The Discord features a unique soft outer shell that literally flexes when you squeeze it. Instead of the typical tough EPS ski helmet inner liner, Giro inserted it's patent-pending, dual-density Vinyl Nitrile (VN) liner. The Discord absorbs both high and low-energy impacts, and rebounds to its original shape. Please note, the Giro Discord Helmet for Ski/Snowboard does NOT meet the ASTM F2040 safety specification for helmets used for recreational snow sports. The Discord is a great choice for you if you're looking for a soft-shell, multi-impact ski or snowboard helmet.

The Giro Discord Helmet for Ski/Snowboard Features:

    • Outer shell: Soft shell/flexes; plastic blend
    • Vinyl Nitrile liner: Soft, rebounds after impact; patent-pending

    Giro’s AutoLoc Fit System

Giro’s AutoLoc Fit System is a durable, self-adjusting system that’s designed to simplify the process of fitting and wearing a helmet. By combining a supple elastic fit band at the back of the helmet with fixed position straps, the Auto Loc Fit System automatically adjusts to cradle your head once you set it to one of three circumference settings. You don’t need to turn a dial or make adjustments to accommodate capts or beanies when the weather changes. The AutoLoc Fit System also helps to position the helmet properly. Check out our Learning Center article, Giro Fit Systems Explained, for more information.
