Smith's I/O goggle line features some of the best technological advancements in the goggle game and the I/O X is no different. The unique offering of the I/O X is the dual-hinge quick release lens change system, which we love because it offers a fast and easy lens change in seconds. With a few moves, you can quickly go from the bright light lens to your bonus low light lens that is included. We love the I/O X's versatility.
You can't talk Smith Optics without talking the highest quality lenses. The I/O X includes two spherical carbonic-x lenses with TLT. TLT is Smith Optics answer to decreased visual distortion and resulting eye fatigue caused by light refraction. When light passes through any medium, it changes course. This causes visual distortion. To avoid this, Smith Optics progressively tapers the lens from the center outward to straighten the incoming light rays. This tapering (TLT technology) results in nondistorted, more accurate vision. We noticed the visual difference immediately, and we believe you will, too.
The I/O X also includes Smith's patented porex filter which prevents optical distortion during changes in elevation and 5x anti-fog coating to help keep your vision clear for hours. Smith also designed the I/O X with an AirEvac ventilation system that interfaces with your helmet to help circulate air, reducing fogging.
Comfort is at a premium with the I/O X. 3-layer DriWix face foam feels incredible and offers the plush cushioning that allows for all day wear. It also features a rotating outrigger positioning system so you can wear the goggles wherever you like without any unwanted pinching or pressure. Lastly, the goggle is over the glasses compatible and work in conjunction with all Smith helmets.
As the company name implies, Smith has its roots in goggles and sunglasses. Since 1965, Smith has pioneered innovations in sport optics. Smith began producing helmets in 2005 and has quickly grown its reputation in the ski and snowboard industry. Smith Helmets engineers snowboard protective gear with some of the highest technological advances in performance, protection, design, and fit. The company's background in optics informs its helmet design, and Smith prides itself on the seamless integration of its products. Among the technological advances Smith has developed are AirEvac and AirEvac 2 ventilation systems.
We offer many different models of Smith Optics Ski Helmets and bike helmets, with each having a different size range depending upon fit system, shell shape, etc. To chose the right size Smith Helmet for you or your kid, follow the steps below.
