The ProTec Classic Skate helmet - simple, clean, classic styling for everyone who wants to hit the street or park hard and keep their head right where it belongs. The ProTec Classic Skate Helmet includes:
ProTec's comfy two-stage foam liner
ProTec's classic round shell styling - a constant in the park since the 1970s
Four shell sizes for a great fit
The Pro Tec Classic Skate helmet is for skate use only. For the Pro-Tec Classic Helmet that is for skate and bike use, check out the ProTec Classic Helmet for Bike and Skate.
PLEASE NOTE: some images supplied by ProTec are only of one version of the helmet. The ProTec Classic Skate helmet has the softer two-stage foam inner liner that does NOT meet the CPSC bicycle helmet safety standard. (Please see below for additional details.) If you order a ProTec Classic Skate helmet from this page on our site, you will get the helmet with the soft two-stage foam liner.
Not sure which ProTec Classic helmet to buy?
Most ProTec skateboard helmets come in two versions - one intended for skate use only, and a second that is also certified to the CPSC standard for bicycle helmets. The outer shell is the same between the two helmet versions. It is the inner liner material that is different.
ProTec Classic Helmet for Bike/Skate
This version of the ProTec Classic Helmet (also referred to a "The Classic" instead of "Classic Skate") for bike and skate has a hard styro-foam liner inside that meets the CPSC safety standard for bicycle helmets. The inside liner construction is shown in the image below.
ProTec Classic skate helmet
The ProTec Classic Skate helmet (referred to as "Classic Skate" as opposed to "The Classic") has a soft two-stage liner inside the helmet. The softer liner is generally considered more comfortable, as it conforms to your head better than the stiffer styro-foam liner of the bike/skate helmet. But, this version of the ProTec Classic helmet is NOT certified to the CPSC bicycle helmet safety standard. So, it's a great - and comfortable - helmet to use while skateboarding. It's a best seller, and preferred at the park or in the pipe. The image below shows the detail of this two-stage ProTec helmet liner.
