Chest deflectors were originally designed for motocross, but they have since proven themselves useful in mountain biking. Thus, the
SixSixOne Rogue chest deflector is intended for mountain biking. However, it too has now proven itself useful for snowboarders who want a degree of chest protection, but without any loss of flexibility that a full suit of upper body armor can sometimes cause.
Meant to be worn either under or over your mountain bike jersey or snowboarding base layer, the
SixSixOne Rogue is essentially a thermo-formed plastic chest shield sewn into a tough-duty foam and Velcro spandex, over-the-shoulder, around-the-waist, harness system. The chest shield itself is convex, so it effectively wraps around your chest and better deflects impact. The strap and belt system goes over your shoulders and around your waist to meet in a four-point harness at the small of your back that is fully cushioned with articulated, heat-fused foam padding. The SixSixOne Rogue is also compatible with all MTB and snowboard neck braces. The upper chest foam guard can be worn for additional protection above the chest shield or removed to fit a neck brace if so desired.
The SixSixOne Rogue chest deflector offers:- Lightest weight chest protection available
- Base layer style chest guard you’ll hardly know you’re wearing
- Chest protection you can wear with other forms body armor protection if so desired
Chest protection in minimalist designThe SixSixOne Rogue deflector offers chest protection in one of the lightest weight, most minimalist designed pieces of upper body armor protection on the market today. Priced right, it is appropriate for use in both mountain biking and snowboarding.
